Cristie ( Crusty )Whiles Bio |
A graduate from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Cristie (Crusty)
Whiles began working with TOETAG PICTURES in 2002 as the original Art
Director, constructing and producing all of the company’s designs, ads,
illustrations, movie posters & covers. Along with the presentation
of TTP, Crusty also spreads her creativity & artistic ability in
every aspect of production including storyboard, set design, props,
makeup, costume, writing and acting. In 2002, she co-directed, co-wrote
and starred in the underground cult classic, “August Underground’s
MORDUM”, known to be the most disturbing film ever made. She worked on
Nick Palumbo’s “Murder-Set-Pieces”, also making a small appearance in
the film. In 2006, she and the Toetag team came together and wrote
another gruesome horror story that became “The Redsin Tower”. For
three months, day and night, she worked along side Cruise in designing
and building creepy sets, realistic props and straight make-ups.
Crusty also appeared in a very, very sick scene with amazing make-up
and appliance done by Jerami Cruise. Now she and the crew are working
on August Underground’s Penance where she will be starring,
co-directing and co-writing.
With TOETAG, Crusty is able to release blood-curdling horror to fans and fiends across the world.
